The 8-port Avocent DSR1021 KVM switch is specifically designed for IT administrators who need to easily troubleshoot, reboot or even power cycle servers or serial devices in branch offices, avoiding the need for costly on-site service calls. The DSR1021 switch provides BIOS-level control of your branch offices’ servers, routers and DSU devices.
The DSR1021 switch includes external modem support, so IT administrators can manage remote devices if the network is down. The DSR1021 switch features an on-board Web interface compatible with Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Firefox, or Netscape for access and control of your servers over IP.
DSView® 3 management software is required for more advanced features such as hub and spoke failover, SNMP notifications, scheduling, and access to IPMI-enabled servers.
