Display modesUp to four computers can be connected directly to one V-Switch quad and controlled in numerous display modes: Quad modeIn Quad mode, the screen is split into four fields of equal size. Each field displays the entire screen content of a video source or computer. Keyboard and mouse operation can be selected to the field of the corresponding computer. PiP modeWhen the PiP (Picture in Picture) function is activated, up to all three other video sources are displayed on the right-hand side of the full-screen image as thumbnails, allowing them to be monitored simultaneously. Size, position and selection of these thumbnails are customizable. In the new Triple Tile mode, the active channel and the PiPs are automatically resized to display all channels as large as possible without overlap Dual modeIn Dual mode the left halves of the fullscreen images from two video sources are displayed side by side at full size. This allows e.g. to read even small written text in full resolution and brilliant quality in each of the left halves. Fullscreen modeIn Fullscreen mode, one of the four video sources is shown at full screen size and maximum resolution. Keyboard and mouse operation automatically switchs to the corresponding computer. Operating the switch – 6 optionsThere are five different ways of switching between video channels and display modes:
Hotmouse is a unique utility developed by HETEC for controlling the quad KVM switch. The Hotmouse function is activated on any kind of mouse or trackball by giving the device a horizontal shake. This allows you to access any of the connected computers as well as the entire Hotmouse menu, for example to set up the desired display mode. As a result, the quad switch can also be used in environments where there is no room for a keyboard, with both the switch and the computers controlled by a single mouse or trackball. When combined with a KVM over IP extender, such as V-IP, V-Switch quad and the connected computers, switches and other devices can also be controlled remotely via LAN, WAN or IP. Technical data
