High Density Branch Circuit Power Monitoring Solution

DC Insight - High Density Power Monitoring Solution DC Insight - High Density Power Monitoring Solution

Our High Density Branch Circuit Power Monitoring solution is part of the DC Insight solution, a single platform to monitor, collect and analyze data used by facility managers.

Our power monitoring solution offers the following features:

  • Retrofit into unmetered switchboards or PDUs with zero downtime.
  • Measures instantaneous current and voltage, instantenous power, RMS current and voltage, real/apparent/reactive power, fundamental power and power factor for each feed.
  • Using stackable low cost extension modules make measuring thousands of feeds cost effective.

The DC Insight Power Monitoring Solution is part of the DC Insight Platform with easy to navigate user interface and powerful analytics and reporting support. Simple to retrofit into existing, up-and-running sites, with no down time to your equipments. The power monitoring solution can be used to measures power usage at your data center. The information is sent to a data-gathering module, where it is processed and analysed. You can select from a range of pre-set reports, or create your own, to track, control and charge for power use. The result is simple, reliable cost recovery, plus the information you need to run your system at maximum efficiency, benefiting both you and the environment.

Easy to Install with No Downtime

The solution can be install in a running data center requiring no downtime. Measurements are taking using a split-core current transformer, which opens up, wraps around and lock into position by clamping onto a live power feed.

To measure the voltage, each main data collector unit, called DGM, takes a voltage measurement from each phase. This 3 phase voltage measurement is only required once for thousands of feeds draw from the same source.

For data center with dual 3-phase power feeds design, each DGM can take 2 3-phase power reference voltage measurements..
