Four hospitals in Hong Kong have been reported patient’s data loss via several USB thumb drives. According to the figure from Hospital Authority and Department of Health, these incidences involved the data loss of 756 patients’ anamnesis and personal information. Representative from Hospital Authority indicated that they respected patients’ personal information and aimed to keep this information confidential. They promised to investigate into the incidents and would review the whole procedure with the intention to avoid a similar case to occur again.
